Dream Journal
I was going on a school trip and was at the airport with my classmates. They in a long line filling out blue comment cards and were told to bring them to the gate. They comment cards were optional and I didn’t want to fill one out.
At boarding time, I handed my ID to the agent, but he wouldn’t take it and told me to stand back. I didn’t understand him and asked why he was taking IDs and comment cards from everyone else. My boyfriend caught my gaze as he handed over his ID and card. He was worried that I would not make it onto the flight.
I couldn’t hear his explanation because the agent told me to keep stepping back. In the back of my mind I knew that they wouldn’t let me on because I didn’t fill out a comment card.
The agent pointed me to another agent who immediately told me to calm down. I told her that I wasn’t worked up, just confused and worried I wouldn’t make my flight. She said that I had become very angry.
All I wanted was to get on the plane, but it left without me. I was very upset that I didn’t make it.
Then the plane that the agent and I were standing on took off. I hadn’t known that we were on another plane. I braced myself against the counter to not fall over during take off. Two pilots, the one female agent and I were following the other plane.
The four of us were chased into the woods by a man. He came over the hill and found us in a large field of burned grass. He thought he had us, but didn’t realize it was part of the pilot’s plan: we were going to burn the bad man out.
I fell in love with the pilot. My boyfriend found the four of us at the pilot’s cabin eating lunch, He was very sad.
Themes: Left Behind
I sat at my work computer, looking at Rachael’s desk across the room. I wanted to tell her about B’s text message, but she wasn’t there yet. She finally arrived all aflutter and distracted. Her friend arrived, and they discussed something important at her desk. I decided to not wait any longer.
There was a large crowd outside the church because classes were starting soon. I could see a camera operator and reporter standing on the sidewalk; I waved to the camera and then noticed it wasn’t pointed at me.
I pushed my way through the school kids and, once inside, headed for the bathroom. I found the two bathrooms inside had been combined into one classroom because the church needed more space.
I saw a small closet on the left side of the classroom that had become the women’s bathroom. Inside the small closet I found two doors into the small toilet closet. The other door had a large hole in the bottom of it, as though the bottom panel was missing.
I spent a lot of time trying to block the hole by propping up my bag, then saw that the toilet wasn’t attached to the hole in the floor. I looked for the men’s bathroom, but it wasn’t enclosed behind walls yet.
I looked at the toilet for a while. My mom walked into the classroom and asked if I was ready to go.
I stood in the back yard with only a towel wrapped around myself. I saw an old friend Ron walk around the building and knew he was coming to see me. I ran inside hoping to get dressed before he could walk to the open front door.
He got the the front door and walked in as I ran to the bedroom. I yelled to him that I would be right out. I pulled on an old tank top and grabbed the first pair of jeans I saw, but they were Steve’s and were too big on me. The second pair of jeans I grabbed were overalls.
I rushed out into the backyard again, following Ron while trying to hook the straps of my overalls. They were still pretty baggy and I tried to appear like I was prepared for this, but I wasn’t. I noticed the side buttons at my hips weren’t done up, and I did the one on my left hip but saw there wasn’t one on my right. I felt better.
We were talking and wandered out of the back yard a bit when a big cow moose ran passed us at a very high speed. We watched her go and wondered what had gotten her excited. I asked aloud if the dog was inside sleeping on her couch like always or in the back yard. I knew the moose would leave us alone, but I didn’t want the dog to get harmed.
Lacey was indeed in the backyard jumping through the tall grass. I picked her up and put her back inside.
