I lied on the couch while Jake, Rebecca’s husband, was in the kitchen. He came over to me and lied down with his head on my shoulder and his arm around my stomach. We talked and laughed for a little bit when he pinched my right nipple. I laughed, and the doorbell rang.
I got up to answer the door and there was a non-native-English-speaking woman asking about having a piece of jewelry made for her. I asked her, “Rebecca or Elizabeth?” She, not understanding, just nodded her head so I repeated my question. Again she nodded.
So I told her that there were two sisters who made the jewelry, they were named Rebecca and Elizabeth, and I needed to know for whom she would like to leave the message. Jake stood looking over my shoulder, and the woman walked away.
