I was in a swimming pool with a lot of other people. I got out of the pool and headed toward the locker rooms to shower and change. I pulled open the door to the ladies’ locker room and saw a lot of boys inside.

The locker room was huge, probably ten times larger than any I had ever been in before. The boys were all part of a sports team, and they were gathered in one area listening to their coach’s instructions. I wandered around the different areas of the locker room but there was no place for me to change or shower.

I asked a few different teachers in charge about where I could change, but they didn’t see a problem with my changing in the locker room. “But there are boys in the locker room!” I kept telling them, but they didn’t understand.

I went outside the building and ran into Grant who told me I could probably use the teachers’ bathroom located in a different building down the hill. It was a bright sunny early summer afternoon and I was in a wheelchair pulling myself along with my lefts.

A boy stood behind me wanting to ask Grant something when Grant turned to find a key to the teachers’ bathroom for me. I turned to the boy and say, “You might as well push me.” He pushes me after Grant but I had to hold my legs up so as to not drag them on the ground because the chair was too low for me.

Grant stopped by Donna Smith who stood with a few other teachers. I told her about the boys in the locker room and she let me use her key. I walked down the hill toward the teachers’ locker room and found all the lights off.

Before I was able to unlock the door, Rachael came around the corner of the building and asked me if I knew anything about the letter she held. She told me the letter was from Grant. She pointed to a power outlet on the wall and its cover falls off, revealing four red pansies which were also from Grant.

She read the letter aloud to me. In it, Grant said that they had had a great thing but it was time for them to part ways. He told her that he was very sorry about all of this, they had had some fun times but it was best if they parted ways.

I told Rachael that it sounded like he was breaking up with her. Which confused both of us because they were never romantically involved.
