rhapsodic dreams

Dream Journal

dreamed on August 21, 2005

I was only an observer in this dream.

Jess needed to run three miles before her class started in five minutes and was dressed down for it, but she sat at a small round table with a friend and chatted her last five minutes away. She would never get her three miles done in time.

She stood up from the table to go to class and got chopped into a few large pieces which were put into a gift box with a dead body, and then placed into a kitchen cabinet above the stove. She knew that the person who chopped her up was coming to kill her and that she needed to escape.

Jess sharpened her teeth and chewed through her metal restraints. I flinched at her bloody gums, knowing that it must have hurt her. Once she was free she set about dismembering the dead body with which she shared the box. She had to use her already sharpened teeth because her arms and legs were not attached to her body.

She worked with a feverish purpose, ripping and chewing through the dead body. Blood was getting everywhere until I decided I had seen enough. She reached down with her right hand and scooped the left eyeball from the body’s head, as the right eyeball was already missing.

I was then in a larger room with a bunch of other ladies at some sort of ladies’ function. Jess stepped into the main room but she looked very different. She had used parts from the dead body to disguise herself as Joni; she used the dead body’s identity. I could tell pieces of her skin were lighter than others and she walked very carefully so as to not lose any pieces, but otherwise she was very convincing.

She chatted with the woman in charge for a while, and then she went around the room making small talk. She wore a very nice white pantsuit and open-toed shoes. The woman in charge knew something was off and asked ‘Joni’ about the tattoos on her toes. ‘Joni’ laughed nervously and tried to hide her toes in the cuffs of her pants. Knowing she was about to be found out she tried to devise a plan to leave the room without making a scene.
