Dream Journal
I was running behind Olivia from Law & Order SVU until we were at the scene of a riot or accident. There were a lot of police and emergency workers around. In the middle of all the hubbub were three white cars parked in the snow.
Olivia & I pushed and pulled on the middle car to get it running. We were chasing a bad guy and could go faster with a car. The police officers around us were too busy to notice we were stealing a car, and we hoped we could get the car running before they did. One cop noticed us and came over to make us stop.
B was stuck in one of the other cars; he was involved in the accident. The entire vehicle interior was filled with snow, making it impossible for him to get out. As the rescuers dug B out I kept asking about my dog, if she was okay; she was still in the car. No one answered me about her.
They pulled B out of the car and laid him on the ground next to another guy involved in the accident. Both were unconscious. I ran to B and tried talking to him, but he just he rolled his eyes and groaned. I turned to a rescuer and asked again about my dog, Lacey. He looked at me as if I were crazy and then walked away.
When I turned back to B, a large police officer had his arms around both of the men and had pulled them to their feet. He needed the two men to stand on their feet and walk, but B couldn’t. I rushed up and put my arms around B, telling the cop that I would support him. B leaned hard into me and I almost fell over from his sudden weight. His feet moved awkwardly and he couldn’t get his balance.
I knew B was going to be arrested and was surprised the cop was letting me help B walk; I could have been an accessory and we could flee the scene, for all he knew.
