I was spending a lot of time with my mother wandering through shops, laughing, and having a great time. Late in the afternoon, I realized the date is the 24th and Christmas is the next day.
I told my mom that I really wanted to spend Christmas with B, and that I would have to go to his parents’ house to do that.She was sad to see me leave, but she understood.
I had seen B’s sister a while earlier, and I tried to follow where I had seen her going. I ended up in either China or a Chinese section of town. I couldn’t read any of the signs or understand any of the people. I didn’t know where B’s parents’ house was located, and I was completely lost.
I stepped into a candle shop where people were sprinkling powdered candles all over the floor. I picked up a bag of 20 tiny pillar candles of random circumference and color - they were the leftovers from some other candle project. They were only $10; I wanted to get some, but someone sprinkled a powder candle on me.
