Dream Journal
I was driving south from Fairbanks with Beth. At the top of the hills just outside of town Beth asks me if I have ever taken the alternate route south. I didn’t know what she was talking about, so she points to the left side of the road where I see a road.
Beth tells me to take the alternate road, so I pull onto the road and park at a rest stop. The pullout overlooks a large bay of bright green water coming from an iceberg. There is a set of stairs leading down to the water - this is Beth’s alternate route.
On top of the concrete steps, I notice that they are not connected to anything. Each step hovers hundreds of feet over the water. Lacey is now with me, and I am trying to watch her so that she won’t fall off the steps while I make sure I do not fall.
