Dream Journal
Heidi had just traded in my mom’s car for something else. I went with her into town to help with the process, but she wouldn’t tell me any of the details. I asked her what kind of car she got in exchange for the Yukon, what kind of extra features it had, and how old it was. She kept repeating that it was specially customized just for us and wouldn’t tell me any more.
We drove to my parents’ home; it was dark outside and I could tell that I had left every light on in the house. When we got to the house, I saw that I had only left one light on, but it was spreading light through all of the upstairs rooms.
Inside the house, the entire family was sitting around the kitchen table. We sat down with them and Heidi explained that she had traded in the Yukon for two cars: one for Mom and one for Dad. Dad was getting a truck and Mom a blazer. I asked her how old the cars were, and I knew she was going to say late-80s models.
I then asked what sort of specialized features she got with the cars, the ones she wouldn’t tell me about. I wanted to know why she wouldn’t tell me. After an awkward pause, she said that Mom’s blazer came with a gum ball machine.
I asked Heidi if the cars came with air conditioning, she said they didn’t. I was furious. A gum ball machine? That was it? She defensively asked me what I would have done. I told her that I would have kept the Yukon.
Then I was in someone’s kitchen. I was Jackie from That 70s Show and I was trying to talk Steven into having sex with me. He didn’t want to because it hadn’t been very long since I was with Michael. I turned around and began preparing a spot for the two of us inside a kitchen cabinet, then told him to join me whenever he was ready.
A friend helped me move all of the food items to a different shelf, then she placed a towel down on top of our shelf. She then saw another shelf in a baker’s rack that would give us a little more room. I moved to it, crouched down, and spread out the towel. I was now myself, and B crouched behind me and kissed my ear.
I then became the friend that had been helping me, and went around a corner to let Jackie and Steven have some privacy as the baker’s rack didn’t have any sides and anyone could see into it. There was a large leather desk on which sat an answering machine. I made a mental note to change the greeting on the machine.
I went through a back door and went down some stairs into my old church’s basement. I knew that on the other side of the basement was the baker’s rack and my two friends. The basement was full of people having a Halloween party.
I mingled, but quickly noticed that some people were changing and becoming very angry. I saw a few of the changed people glaring in the direction of the baker’s rack. I headed in that direction to check on my friends, but got talked into helping a small boy in the water.
The boy was floating on a boogie board and was supposed to find a turtle before he came back to the party. He found the turtle, but when the turtle touched him, he turned into a full sized jelly fish man.
He swam back to the party, and everyone he touched turned into jelly and was assimilated into his body. We swam through the party together, and at one point I reached over, pulled aside a jelly flap covering his face, and gave him a passionate kiss on his lips. He loved me.
