A group of people and I step into the airport; we are all traveling somewhere together. I tell everyone that our gate is on seventh floor. One of the men in the group, probably in his 40s, decides to take charge. He and another guy in his 20s argue about whether to eat at Chilies or Chili Steakhouse before our flight leaves.

I am carrying a few pieces of luggage and three coats stacked on top of each other. The top coat is brown and has a fuzzy collar as if it were made of sheep wool. The wool is brown too. We decide on Chilies and sit down at a long table - the waitress had pushed a few of the smaller tables together.

Melissa is sitting at the very end of the table and I am on her right. I put my stuff in the chair on her left directly across from me and ask her to make sure my brown coat doesn’t get dirty. She picks it up and tosses it to the floor. When I ask why, she says she that was keeping it out of the way of the greasy food.

I leave dinner early because I don’t want to miss my flight. I take the stairs up all 7 flights and arrive at a dinky gate with one counter. The room looks very old and is covered in brown paneling. A middle-aged lady at the counter starts checking in my luggage when I turn around to look out the window

When I turn back to the counter, the lady has her computer turned towards the counter. Some screensavers are playing and she asks me about them. I tell her they are not mine, but it is like she is hypnotized by them.
