Dream Journal
B and I were in a large room of a large mansion. Every so often, the scenery would change into some movie that we had both seen before, complete with all the original actors, whether they were animated or real. It changed to Sleeping Beauty, then to Cinderella. It changed to a scene that B didn’t recognize, and I told him it was The Sound of Music. He didn’t know what that was, so we watched it for some time. This was when I realized he had the remote and could change the channel at any time. When Julie Andrews started singing the theme song from the sound of music, he recognized it and immediately changed the channel because he hated the movie.
We were then lying together on a couch in my parents’ basement - only the couch was up against the wall, like it used to be a few years ago. B was lying on his back and I on my side and with my back pressed up against the back of the couch. We were quite comfortable together. He was flipping through the TV looking for something to watch when a red haired girl came on the screen. I told him it was Angela Asbury. He didn’t know who she was, so I told him that she had played in Murder, She Wrote and Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I was trying to think of what else she had played in, but to no avail.
I was still thinking when I heard the downstairs door open. I looked up and B was coming home from work. The B who was still on the couch with me, held a cookie sheet up to block the view from the B who just walked in and then kissed me. He lowered the cookie sheet and I said ‘hey sweetheart’ to the B at the door and he replied ‘hey baby’ obviously happy to be home. The B on the couch raised the cookie sheet a little bit so that he couldn’t see himself at the door. I grabbed the cookie sheet, raised it higher, and kissed the B on the couch passionately.
